I've been hard on the hunt to uncover what pins are currently in the Springfield area, and will be posting some of my findings throughout the next few weeks.
Today I want to shine a spotlight on BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT (2008, Stern Pinball) which is one of TWO machines discovered at TRACK SHACK (right next to Mel-O-Cream and Gabatoni's on Laurel).
This machine is definitely neglected and probably has a number of issues. The elastic piece on the left bumper is loose and practically fallen off, the bumper's "kick" also doesn't even work. If the ball hits it it just falls flat. Full Tilt Jack also got the ball stuck in a weird place while we were playing and the whole game malfunctioned and started acting haywire.
I did manage to get a good honest game in of 15,483,470 (ranked #113 highest score in the world). This caught the attention of one of the bar's regulars who made his way over to the pinball and was intrigued to ask me what my score was. I kept hitting that wrecking ball and got the joker's MULTI-BALL and had a good run.
I wish the sound on the game would have been turned up so we could hear it.

I'll play any pinball with Michael Caine's face on it.
