When Drew posted a picture of a record player awhile back I said 'now you gotta cop some Herb Alpert' to which he replied 'I don't know what that is' or something. wtf? Seriously? I bought this box set for my brother for christmas one year when we were teenagers. I know Jeff is probably spinning this year round but here it is just in case.

YOU KNOW IT I'm still bummed I didn't pull the trigger on the volume 2 box set of Sufjan's Christmas music, but last year I bought each EP separately so now I got it all. |

Been listening to a different christmas album from the $$ dollar bin every night with my real christmas tree and my cat, and last night it was Charley Pride's "Christmas In My Home Town"
... then today he passed away

Brain has been a'twittering about how bad my Christmas music is just because he heard one song when I was only playing silly music before the hardcore show on Friday.
well I guess from now on I'm playing this album every time I work the store this December.

Can I just say that: I have been picking a different Christmas album to listen to all of December, actually using a YOUTUBE MUSIC playlist (and paying for that crap) to have a "Dumb Records Christmas Music 2022 Playlist"
I'll make slight adjustments and delete songs and I go too.

Something I have learned:
"Silent Night" is the most overdone Christmas song of all time. It's on every Christmas album even more than Jingle Bells. It's also the worst song to play in the store. I think it's my new least favorite Christmas song of all time, even though it's the song where we light the candles at church and me and my brother joke about lighting each other's hairs on fire so it's the most fun part of Christmas Eve service in a way.
For now here are my TOP TEN CHRISTMAS ALBUMS, until I build on the list a little more next year:
