Hey I've been to the pinball hall of fame in Vegas. But they're building a new one? Cool! I don't remember much about it, and a friend told me he was going to see "real Vegas" which made me feel some sort of way because my real friends think real Vegas happens at the pinball palace. Haven't talked to him in a while I should see what he's up to. Probably enjoying "real life" which for me is this forum and all my pro board buds

Whoa, lots of big stuff happening today on TWIP I went excited to see all of this stuff after T.W.I.P. took a little vacation this month...
What caught my attention the most was Chicago Gaming Company "CCR Pinball CONFIRMED"
And then realized it is not a Creedence Clearwater Revival Pinball, but a "Bellybutton Canyon Pinball"

That's a pretty weird video you chose for CCR. It seemed all along this was going to be the next big remake game, it never really got to see a full production run back in the day, but at the same time I don't think this game really stands out to me to be as good as the other remakes so far with MM, AFM, and MB. CCR is mainly just a big deal because it was the last regular pinball that Williams produced and not many were made, kind of like Big Bang Bar. I think they got the big heavy hitters out of the way now with the remakes and now have harder decisions to make on what's left. I'm assuming they're staying away from licensed pins like Addams Family and Twilight Zone.
I thought there was quite a lot of big news. Deeproot sounds like it's going down in flames. That company has had a lot of mystery around it on whether or not they would produce anything and now it sounds like we have an answer. Still it's always nice to have another pinball company to offer more variety, but the barrier to entry to compete with the likes of stern is probably just too much in such a niche market.
Steve Ritchie moving to Jersey Jack is a big move. Even though he's the biggest name in pinball, his last few designs for stern have been duds. His last of course being Led Zeppelin which seems to be the worst design ever in the modern era. I'm not sure how Jersey Jack is going to benefit from it. However, their designs are really bloated and busy instead of simple and fast, so maybe this is the combination they needed? I can't imagine they need more pinball designers as they already had Pat Lawer, and they only release a new game like once a year if that.

oh great now Brain is going to be too busy getting all these achievements instead of working the store.
Just when I was thinking about what it would be like to have 2 modern sterns in the arcade. I guess I'm getting rid of turtles now.

Sounds like the next STERN PIN is going to be released (or announced?) at some point in SEPTEMBER
...And based on the PINSIDE forum they all want it to be THE MUPPETS

I'm pretty sure that's not what I'm seeing on the Pinside forums, but all the ideas/rumors I am seeing are not that great so I do wish it was the muppets, except one rumor that it could be Evil Dead... Also it seems the next pin is codenamed Godzilla, so it won't actually be Godzilla (I hope) but who knows. It will be released in September tho so we'll be finding out pretty soon.
It is going to be designed by Keith Elwin, which may mean it will be good. He's the new hotshot in the pinball design world, having designed Iron Maiden, Jurassic Park, and Avengers Infinity Quest so far. Something I learned recently is his first game he designed was a prototype for the show Archer, which then became Iron Maiden. His machines all have interesting ideas for ball flow that stand out from other pins.

You are wrong Jeff, the next Stern pin is code named "Godzilla" because it is surely going to be a: BLÜE ÖYSTER CÜLT PINBALL
If all goes as planned I plan on trading out Asteroids for Blue Oyster Cult in March 2022
