I just discovered there are some serious Pinball Punks out there curating a well designed Pinball Magazine called Nudge
There seems to be some effort being put into it and everything

No one cares about NUDGE since they have made it known that they have horrible tastes in pinballs by not liking the greatest game of all time, WHITEWATER.
Also still trying to understand Nudge... they are a print magazine with only one issue?
GREAT to see THIS WEEK IN PINBALL is BACK THIS WEEK FOR SOME REASON
And that new QUEEN game looks LAME

I think NUDGE is a unique and refreshing voice in the pinball community of old white men and obsessive nerds like me. They're a bit more punk and witty, even if a bit too "bar punk". I'm enjoying their content so far. I agree it's hard to figure them out but I believe the gist is they're just some pinball fans who were making online content and are now trying out doing an actual print magazine, probably a lot like Activator. I can't quite figure out if they're based out of a particular arcade or location but it does seem that they're based out of Chicago as most of the arcades featured are Logan and other Chicago joints. I'm also glad that they're for real as they had the Correct take on Whitewater, which is a late 90s williams pin that's all right for a few plays before moving on to better pins of the period, much like Fishtales.
I do hope TWIPY is back with the weekly updates but we'll have to see. They do sometimes do a post when a new game is announced, we'll have to see if they actually keep it up this time. I see QUEEN is by Pinball Brothers who recently came out with the Alien re-release. I think the Alien pin has some mixed reviews. I suppose we'll see how it goes on Queen, and I wonder how a startup company like that had the ability to get such a license. I know Queen is not a band Brian likes but I can see it being a band with broad appeal and would be a good fit for a pinball machine. I went through my own Queen phase back when I first started collecting records. They wouldn't be a goto band for me now but I still appreciate them.
I also see TWIPY included rumors on the NEXT STERN PINBALL, it certainly felt like a classic TWIPY update and none of the real juicy stuff was behind a paywall. They talked about the current rumors. Even tho Stern had Ozzy at their booth at comic con recently for some reason, I doubt they're going to do another music pin so soon after Rush, although that's pretty awkward the famous musician at their booth doesn't even have his own pin. I bet this was all just an excuse for Gary Stern getting to hang out with his favorite classic rock heroes. It seems the biggest rumor is the next pin will be VENOM. This makes no sense to me as the Venom franchise is not nearly as big as many other super hero franchises, just doesn't make sense at all, even if there is a new venom movie coming out. I googled when the next Venom movie is coming out and it's not rumored until Feb 2023, so the timing really doesn't make sense either.

Nah I mean from what I saw of that pinball brothers QUEEN game, even if I was a big fan of QUEEN I would be disappointed because it just looks like a very basic home-brew game (especially if you compare it to recent big name modern band pins like RUSH or lordy heavens GUNS & ROSES), it is sad they did this to QUEEN...
Would pinball brothers doing this prevent a bigger pinball company such as Stern or Jersey Jack from ever taking on doing a Queen pin?
----
p.s.s. and yeah, an Ozzy or Black Sabbath pin would make perfect sense for Stern to do as their next band pin, but probably wouldn't be the one they are about to announce in (hopefully) a couple of days.

I happened to notice a post from Decatur Troy about all the stern games he's bringing to Pinball Expo in October for the tournament. At the end of his list was New Game Pro and New Game Premium. So no matter what sounds like we'll know about the next new Stern by then

Since our store has people in it non stop all of the time, I can't really watch youtube videos very easily, can someone explain to me what is going on here? Do we need to assemble a DUMB RECORDS STERN CONNECT TEAM to compete?

Thank you for sharing with the forum this website I finally check out Jeff
www.knapparcade.org/
Seems to be about as basic as it gets as far as website layout goes, (also interesting how they have a pretty big instagram page as well, but it's just nice pictures of machines), the actual site is just what I crave because it's got content being posted daily.
Thanks to a post from 6 days ago I now know that there is ONE scooby doo machine now playable live in Madison Wisconsin at "IO pinball bar" which I was at back in September on my big trip.

There are so many new pinballs that have been recently been released that I am having a hard time keeping track. Here is my attempt at listing off all of the pinball companies and all of the new games they have released:
STERN: FOO FIGHTERS
JERSEY JACK: GODFATHER
SPOOKY PINBALL: SCOOBY DOO
AMERICAN PINBALL: GALACTIC TANK FORCE
CHICAGO GAMING CO: PULP FICTION
MULTIMORPHIC: FINAL RESISTANCE
I'm pretty sure that covers every major pinball company going right now? They all just decided they would announce games at pretty much the same time I guess huh. It's a pinball world now

I think they were all timing it so people could check them all out at the Texas Pinball Festival, which happened last week. I think the Texas fest is actually bigger than the Chicago expo at this point. Since Stern is probably only doing 2 releases this year, they're probably timing the second release for Chicago expo, we'll get treated to the dud release for the year probably, but at least we won't have to wait in line so much for all these by then.

Just saw the tweet, Jack Danger has announced he is going to quit streaming regularly, just on special occasions. I always appreciated his positive outlook and mostly non dude-bro attitude toward the hobby that is pretty pervasive among pinball personalities. I guess he's a big boy pinball man now and needs to grow up.
I will say I seldom ever actually watched his streams, like who has time for that, but I appreciate the idea
