Last night I was able to confirm a couple more spots in Decatur as far as pinball goes, and I have my pinside map complete. I believe there are THREE playable machines in Decatur open to the public.
WOW, the NEWEST Pinball from Stern (until they announce a new one hopefully next week)... LED ZEPPELIN. You know I like to ROCK so I like this pinball.
This is the THIRD different time I have played this game though. They had the PREMIUM version at Galloping ghost and I would say that was fun. Then I played the PRO version at Silver Ballroom in St. Louis and I HATED it. This one is also the PRO version. What's the difference? Mainly there is a spinny-doo toy that pops up on the premium game that doesn't exist on the pro version. I must say without this toy in the middle ... the pro version is just really a game with a bunch of ramps playing the led zeppelin songs. THis game can also be REAL frustrating. The 180 degree ramp in the far right back is very hard to hit. 80%-90% of the times you try to make that shot, it's just gonna clunk on one of the metal sides of the ramp and fall back to you. Same with a lot of other spots in the game, it just *clunk*s hits some metal pole and falls back. Overall this game just isn't very special. And it can drain your balls and quarters quick. It's best to play as a free play game. I wish we had in our arcade so I would not have to keep feeding it quarters.
I did have one great game and that was over 54 million. I was "high score number 3" on this machine, and the scores above me are pre-set scores right now. So really I am the highest score in Led Zeppelin pinball in centrall IL right now. Also #15 on pinside.
current high score holder on: Ninja Turdles, Pin•Bot, Pengo, Lady Bug, Tank Battalion, The End, Jr. Pac-man, Amidar, and New Rally X. *2nd highest Dolly Parton score in the world*
