It's one month in so let's get this started. This first one, from Forever Unclean, is such good punk that it makes me want to quit making music all together.

This came out like the last week of 2021 but I'm counting it for 2022 (why do bands always gotta do that to me?)
Boy I am late to the party on this short-lived Chicago group and now of course they are broken up!
How do you embed a bandcamp here again?? abiooze.bandcamp.com/album/r-i-pedit: okay, you can't embed a bankcamp. sorry I can only post the link and the youtube

New Big Thief is really an incredible record.
Pedro The Lion's "Havasau" is a banger and in interesting 2nd in this assumed trilogy of albums about his youth.
Cloakroom "Dissaloution Wave" really grabbed me this time...listening to this record makes me feel exactly like I felt when I saw them play Black Sheep and they blew my mind.
ALSO, that new old Godspeed You! Black Emperor was the weirdest thing I've heard in a long time, worth listening to if your a real post rock boy like me.

mine was Foolish freshman year of college, never stopped. For me I discovered how great Foolish was the week I was done with college and moving from Champaign back to Springfield. There was one drive that the sunset was hitting just right in the middle of the summer (right around the time when Cory V got married at the zoo) :')
...I still haven't gone through all of their albums though, there are a lot.

I guess THE ERGS have TWO NEW 7"S (the Ergs are back?) THE ERGS - THE TIME AND(?) THE SEASON 7 THE ERGS - RENNOVATIONS 7
okay you know I love the Zombies and you know I love the Ergs and I know Mikey Erg has good taste of music but for 1. It's time OF the season Mikey, and I know you know this, but WHY is it listed as the CORRECT song title on the bandcamp track listing but NOT on the actual album art or release name??? This makes it seem like someone made a BIG mistake. and 2. damn that is the most over played zombies song if it were any other song I would have loved it why do people gotta make it seem like they were a 1 hit wonder band off of that one song, oh well I still like it , but you know what 3. I actually like the cover of THE REMAINS (track #2) on this 7" better! that one is a curveball!

Sorry not 2022 but I just gotta say I've been slowly working my way down Superchunk's discography for the last like... decade of my life and this year I'm jammin' Come Pick Me Up and wow, they are truly at their best at some points on this album. I am blown away by these two songs, so good:
also shocked at how similar to Fugazi stuff that was coming out at the same time this feels, they would have beenn good on a show together
thank you for these 2 songs alone keeping me excited about music lately
