as I am making my way through hundreds, thousands, millions of movies I thought of this important question in my head...
Which horror movie franchise has the most movies in their series (including reboots and all of that?)
Let me start by looking up a few examples and contenders...
FRIDAY THE 13TH has 12 FILMS (we'll count Freddy vs. Jason as both Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm)
NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET has 9 FILMS ending at the 2010 remake
CHILDREN OF THE CORN has 9 FILMS (this one always surprises me and I haven't seen any yet)
TREMORS has 7 FILMS (Zack I looked this up for you, I'll watch them all)
Okay that's a start for now.

I was gonna follow this question up with what movies of any genere have the most number of films (and no, all of Marvel movies don't count). Maybe I will start diving into that further after I list off the horror films
Digging into this a little bit further today,
I'm counting HALLOWEEN movies as having 13 FILMS including the one that is coming out later this year.
I figured Full Moon productions PUPPET MASTER was high up there - and including one upcoming in the year 2022 they do have 15 FILMS (this might be our winner)
to get other big ones out of the way...
TEXAS CHAIN SAW looks like it has 9 FILMS
CHILDS PLAY looks like has 8 FILMS, I know they are getting into a TV show now too. (edit sorry I just now see that Zack put that in this thread already) |

I went down a TUBI rabbit hole last night and discovered there are 8 EVIL BONG movies... (including Evil Bong vs. Ginger Dead Man)... I might do something really stupid and watch the first one tonight:
