Wtf? 2+ years into this arcade business and we do not have a thread going for our arcade multi-cade with the most games on it? STREET FIGHTER II Am I missing it somewhere? Surely belongs in the "Non-Pinball Arcade Games" category...
I was just going to ask Jeff, what did you do to this game on Friday? Are there more games? I would look but there is a dad and son back there right now.
Also not sure how I feel about this game being a little louder and sounding like it is being played at all times ?? Maybe it's a good thing, I haven't decided yet.

I don't think you've ever cared much for fighting games in general so you've never been hyped on this one. I've also had my fill of fighting games at this point as this machine is very similar to my first ever arcade project when I built a MAME cabinet, which was a really rough arcade machine with a PC running MAME and had every arcade game on it. It was cool except it would constantly have errors. That's why these days I use these jamma multicade cards instead like the pandora's box and this latest one called the Game Elf as they're much more foolproof, assuming they stay working... Although one annoying thing about them is the games aren't listed alphabetically and are loosely grouped by genre but not always. It makes it hard to find the actual game you want to play.
Since I've had machines like this one for years, I've got my fill of all the street fighters, the mortal kombats, the x-mens, the ninja turtles, the simpsons and all the classic fighting games that men of my age go bonkers for. I think I'm pretty fighter'd out at this point.
I didn't have enough time to get it all working the way I wanted to on Friday, I've since learned with the new update there is an annoying timer that will automatically start a game after 60 seconds. That would be kind of cool, except if no one moves the menu around then it's the same game every time and if no one has touched it at all, it's just going to be the first game on the list which is lame King of Fighters. I need to disable the timer so it's not always playing a game. Also I haven't quite dialed in the volume to the right level either. Maybe in another month I'll have time again to work on this some more since we now will have multiple shows every week.
It's not a big update overall, I'm testing out a new jamma multicade card that I haven't tried before. If it works out, then SF2 will have all the games that Joust has, which then leads me to my next arcade project...

I am a fighting game fiend ever since the days of the XMen vs Street Fighter cabinet over at the Nelson Center. Just moved back to Springfield after some time and I was always on the lookout for places to play Street Fighter etc, I really ought to make a stop at the arcade here, eh?

I'll admit we're pretty weak on the fighting games but we have the 1 sf2 cab running a multicade board with lots of fighters
