I wish I could be putting out some teasers by now on the next hot game for the arcade. I've picked up 2 pinball machines about 4 weeks ago and I still haven't been able to get either of them working and ready. I'm now thinking i'll have to send some boards out to be professionally repaired which will take months! Usually if a pinball has a bad board that I can't fix, I can just replace it with a brand new board, not so with these machines. New boards are not available as some of the parts are discontinued. I'm really starting to regret getting these games, but in time I think they'll be pretty cool and interesting once finally ready.
In the meantime I've also been sitting on a new shooting game to replace Time Crisis, however I did a cap kit on it to freshen up the monitor and now it doesn't work at all. Man I'm really having a run of bad luck on my repairs these days! Oh and Time Crisis stopped working. I may just get rid of it as-is. I really don't want another big project right now. So if you're reading this, a measly $250 and it's yours!
On top of that, I had another fun idea for something different in the arcade but I need Brian to do some design work to make it happen and he went and broke his computer!!!
So now I'm thinking maybe I need to go out and get ANOTHER new game just so we can have something fresh, even tho I have 4 games sitting in my basement. Although I'll probably just bring back Pinbot as it's been working fine all along. I'm getting too much money wrapped in games and need to get some moving out.
With Audiofeed this week and another family trip thing later this month, I'm not sure when I'm going to have time to really work on anything but I'll keep at it and one of these days we'll have something new to sink our teeth into.

Well sometimes I surprise myself, I was tinkering with one of the unnamed pinballs yesterday and it started working! it has a few cosmetic things to clean up yet but it just may be ready in time for when Time Machine gets sold.

I've been playing our next pinball coming the arcade off and on and it's still working! Hopefully it will actually stay working unlike some games that come the arcade and explode right away.
I suppose I should probably start dropping hints on what it is. Here's one for today: it has flippers!
I'm still trying to find a buyer for Time Machine. I've got some bad trade requests so far and I've been actually making bad trade requests and so far not so good. So we'll all just have to be patient for the current game to get sold and out of the way.
I'm also sending off the boards to be professionally repaired for the other pin to come to the arcade someday. The guy said he's currently backed up 14 weeks on his board repair backlog so we're all just gonna have to be patient.
I still need to dive into the problem on the next shooting game however I have found out if i can't figure out how to fix the monitor, it is possible to trade it out with an LCD. So it will happen, just not sure when.

Well what a busy weekend and tomorrow I'm going to Holiday World. But I was able to get Time Machine sold today. The guy who was supposed to buy Time Crisis bailed as he said it was raining too hard, hopefully he'll be trying again soon. I got the NEW PINBALL setup at Dumb today. I'm letting Brain announce it when he goes to work tomorrow.
Now that I finally got a new game in the Dumb Arcade, I'm already planning for another run next weekend to buy 2 more games. I've got a deal setup for 1 little game that Brian and I have been talking about for a while and then I'm looking for 1 more to make my trip worthwhile.

I've got my pinball pickup trip just about all planned out for Sunday. I suppose I get so much joy picking up new pinball machines and I just can't stop.
Here's some teasers on the 2 new pins I'm getting. One is the second best MUSIC PIN of all time! 1st being Dolly Parton of course. The other pin rhymes with pudge bread.
These will eventually replace Fishtales and Crossbow. They shouldn't need any work, but I'll bring them home first and make sure. It will probably be a bit before they show up at the arcade as we just got a new pin and a new contest even, so there's plenty to be excited about for now.
For those keeping track, I still have the other as of yet unnamed pin at home waiting for boards to be professionally fixed. I still have the next shooting game waiting for me to fix or replace the monitor, and I still have a fun arcade idea that is waiting on Brian.
And hopefully the guy picking up Time Crisis shows up Thursday evening

If the new one's aren't Guns N Roses and Judge Dredd I'm going to be very sad. . . for like a second because it's still new pins. @bumpy I think you'll be astounded and amazed, your wildest dreams coming true I've got 3-4 games ready to go into the arcade and I'd like to get some games sold, so after the Pengo contest I'll be putting some games up for sale and brining in all these new titles. It'll be a big day for sure! Although more than likely it's not going to happen all at once. On top of all that I still got a couple tricks up my sleeve for the arcade this year. Also I finally got Time Crisis out the door today, so no longer have a dead game taking up space. |

After Brain gets back from vacation, I expect that will be a good time to finally put some games on the block and then bring in the next games. I plan to sell 2 pinballs and crossbow. I have 2 pinballs at home primed and ready and hopefully I can get the next shooting game finally working, which has been an adventure. I was ready to give up on it but I've decided to give it another go.

I made a lot of progress on the next shooting game this weekend. I have the new lcd monitor in place. It has taken about a month to figure out how to get the video converter to work right and find the best way to mount the monitor inside the cabinet. It's shaping up and just needs a few finishing touches.
This upcoming weekend is nuts between car show weekend and being out of town for a couple days, so I think after this weekend I'm going to list daytona and Crossbow on marketplace and once one or both are gone I'll bring in the next shooting game. Of course if anyone wants either of these games Daytona will be $100 (just want it gone) and Crossbow $3400 (this game is rare, expensive and hopefully I'll get back out of it what I paid for it originally...)
After the dust settles from all of that I'll be selling 2 pinballs in the arcade (Fishtales and Cue Ball) so I can finally bring in Dredd and Pinbot. At that point I'll be almost caught up with my games backlog, except one more mystery pinball that I'm bringing over in January as part of the new tunnel project.
Oh and at some point I need to get another racing game to replace Daytona. I'm thinking Hydro Thunder, any requests?

Daytona is gone and the new game is in as of last night!
funny how I'm sitting on all these games at home but I still have to go drive 6 hours round trip to get another game.
Our next shooting game is ready and just waiting for a spot to open up in the arcade. Crossbow should be leaving this week and that will open the spot.
Next month I plan to list fishtales and Cue Ball for sale so I can bring in the next 2 pinballs.
And sounds like I'll be getting Robb's broken pinball in the next few weeks so I'll be fixing that up for a future placement in the arcade.

Wow I've been really busy on the arcade front lately. I now have both Daytona and Crossbow sold. In addition to the new game I just brought in last week, Brian and I will be moving in the next big shooting game to the arcade tomorrow night!
On top of all of that I'll be picking up a broken pinball from Robb this week and I have located the next sit down racing game for the arcade. I need to pick up the racing game from Troy in Decatur, hopefully next week. It is currently not working and I got it cheap. Lets see if I can repair it!
Also the mystery pinball that I've been working on for a while, and had boards professionally repaired, is still not working! that's my next priority to get working as it's the central part to the big tunnel redesign.
UPDATE: spoke too soon, someone is coming tonight to pick up Surf Planet
