I just wanted to make a quick post about the funny ways taste can change.
When I was a teen, I was really into "intricate" music like Meshuggah or Dragonforce. (I didn't really like Dragonforce, but they're a good extreme example of the trend.)
Now, for some reason, I can't get over the idea of random guys making music with improvised instruments, like in skiffle. There's just a certain practical magic about a bass made from a tea chest or playing percussion on a washboard that once cleaned clothes.
