I'm late to post this, but this happened last night and it was really cool. I've started trying to go to Richard gilman oplaskys (I think that's his name) stuff. I saw end times trio once and I was hooked. Tonight was no exception. Wrest was one of the most interesting things I've ever heard. And the freedom therapy trio was spot on.
I had a really rough week and this was a really nice way for me to just shut off and listen to some good jazz. I was a little sad because I think a lot of people who were there were there cause they had to be, for like school credit or something. But the sounds of dolly parton pinball in the background reinforced what I think the music is trying to convey - that attempts to control things are futile.

I should have guessed, UIS students usually have to go to so many things for school credit but at least at this event they could duck out and play pinball
