We swapped out an old 1969 pinball machine (MIBS) for another 1969 pinball machine (SUSPENSE) in the arcade!
Of course we all love this one because of the scary artwork and the cool backglass! doesn't look like your typical pinball.
According to pinside.com we are now one of THREE public locations in the world you can play this game!
It's unlike any other game we've had at the Dumb Arcade because it has:

There are 18 scores logged for this game on pinside including my starter score of 2,990 right now... the #1 spot is totally fake score of 120,000. (they should be reported...) This game should definitely be flip-able at 10,000 though.
Hitting the bonus spinner is big points on this game, but the only times I have gotten it is when the ball drains.

The more i play it, the more I am finding that this game is so fun. I think I like it more each time I play it and I'm looking forward to the next time I can get to Dumb Records arcade and play some more. There are some pins I do better at just because the shots are lined up right where I want em and this is one of those games.
I usually get frustrated with Dolly Parton because I feel like I should be a better player and it keeps being a jerk to me. Suspense is a much kinder game. I think a big part of it is also the inlane/outlane design. The spinny thing in the middle is keeping the ball from moonwalking out and I feel like there aren't any outlane drains on this game that feel completely unfair. If I drain it's because it's my mistake.
Jeff you can reset the scores tomorrow after I've had my fun. I'm currently at 8440 now after playing 1 game today.
