We have a BIG ongoing summer arcade contest and we haven't made a thread for WIZARD OF WOR yet?
OUR ARCADE CONTEST GOES FROM JUNE 16 - JULY 16 HERE AT DUMB RECORDS
NORMAL ARCADE ENTRY ($5 OR FREE WITH $10 PURCHASE RULES APPLY)
YOU CAN PLAY THE GAME AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WANT, YOUR HIGHEST SCORE GOES ON THE BOARD
THE TOP 10 HIGHEST SCORES GO ON THE BOARD AND SCORERS GET A WIZARD HAT (TO KEEP AND WEAR FOREVER)
AT THE END OF THE DAY JULY 16TH, THE HIGHEST SCORER WILL BE AWARDED THE ONE OF A KIND ENGRAVED TROPHY!

Seems like right now the top scorer is a guy named Troy who doesn't want his picture taken which kind of kills the fun a bit. Who will rise to the challenge of taking him down a notch!
Also I checked and this is not the same Troy who owns the machine.

last time I was in the store, there was a new champion named "cobra" who Brian says also didn't want his picture taken as he didn't want his wife to find out he was there. So still a need for someone fun to actually win.
Also Brian and I are playing 1 game each week to see if we can up our score and I accidently put up a score of over 29k which put me in third at the time, sorry.

I'm in third with 39,600. I feel like I can beat "Cobra" before the tournament ends. I think I'm pretty fun. Being fun is about all I got going for me.

Congrats everyone on the most successful Arcade Contest yet!
I will say this has had the most participation of any of our contests.
It's certainly more fun to me that people are wanting to take part than actually awarding the top scorer. It did feel to me that the contest start running out of steam around week 3 when the top 10 scores were getting a bit out of reach.
Maybe next time we'll tweak the formula some more to make it fun for all.

My favorite part was the emotional music to go with the emotional speech.

I have cut several video game promos in my chase for titles....cause learned how from the wrestling biz.
I was not familiar with the music, just coincidence when I walked in to claim my trophy it was playing. But it worked.
Maybe I'll post video of my best run at the game.
Ready for the next one.
